DocsConnect your infrastructure

Run it in your own cloud

For companies that want everything inside their network, OpsNexa Online runs in your Kubernetes cluster or virtual machine, with your database.

Some companies need every tool inside their own network. OpsNexa Online can run in your Kubernetes cluster or on a virtual machine you own, with your own Postgres. It is the same software as hosted OpsNexa Online.

  • Nothing calls home. There is no telemetry, and nobody at OpsNexa Online can reach it.
  • What leaves your network is only what you connect: your git hosts, cloud APIs, Slack, your email server, and Claude only if you add an Anthropic API key.
  • Your private networks are reachable directly, without the agent.
  • Your security tools see everything: logs, network policies and backups are yours.

What you need

  • A Kubernetes cluster (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift, k3s…) with an ingress controller, or a Linux virtual machine with Docker.
  • A Postgres 14+ database (RDS, Cloud SQL, Azure Database, or your own).
  • A DNS name for it, with HTTPS.

Install

The files are in the repository under deploy/own-cloud.

Kubernetes

  1. In kubernetes.yaml, set:
    • the address (HUB_PUBLIC_URL and the Ingress host),
    • a secret key (openssl rand -hex 32),
    • your database URL.

Pin the image tags to a version.

  1. Run kubectl apply -f kubernetes.yaml.
  2. Open the address and create the first admin account.

One virtual machine

  1. Run cp .env.example .env and fill it in.
  2. Run docker compose up -d.
  3. Put your load balancer or reverse proxy in front for HTTPS.

Then turn on single sign-on and two-step sign-in and invite your team.

Running it

  • Backups: everything lives in Postgres; back it up like any database. Keep the secret key safely with the backups: stored secrets can’t be read without it.
  • Upgrades: change the image tags to the new version and apply. The database is migrated on start.
  • Sizing: one hub serves hundreds of apps; start with 1 CPU and 2 GB of memory.
